sweet home college station

I am being a complete copy cat today and I am not ashamed to say it! Lindsey @ Learning to be a Wife posted a blog entry today that showed all her friends her and her hubby's home and I really enjoyed looking through her pictures. It's funny to me that while we all blog back and forth, make comments, etc, we don't really know what it is like where each other lives due to that fact that we do not see each other. Seeing where Lindsey lives made me think "Wow! So that's what her life is all about!" and I wanted to share my home with everyone as well like Lindsey had done! The following pictures were taken when Bret and I first moved into our apartment at the end of last July so there have been some changes made since these pictures have been taken and photos actually added to some empty frames you will see! Ha.

So, without further suspense, here is mine and Bret's humble abode:

Welcome to our Entry way - The pictures on the little table change with the seasons!
This is where I keep my Ipod and watch so I can grab then as I head out the door and to the gym every morning. At the moment there is also an ornament with two red birds hanging here and a spring time looking wreath. Very small and cute. That blue cross you see, yeah... Bret broke it.
Our kitchen that is not used nearly enough for anything of importance but I LOVE the way it looks. I love all the colors - they make me very happy!
We have recently changed the wall on your left to this:
The kitchen opens up and looks into the living room - that's our bedroom completely across the way:
The living room where I SHRED like a mad woman and where we do all our Wii Fit playing... Once we move the ottoman out of the way that is!

Our entertainment center for now. Once we move into a house I will want a larger complete enclosed one. Since this picture we have upgraded our TV.

Looking from the living room into the little dining room nook. Considering this is a college town I am thinking the inset on the right is suppose to be used for a desk. We decided to house our wedding china and wine collection there instead:

We have WAY more wine now then when we did when we first moved in that's for sure also, we have added words to our walls and letters to our chairs!:
The guest bedroom - My least favorite decorated room in the house. The bed frame no longer has a foot board. I thought it closed off the room too much so it's now hanging out in the guest closet!

The guest bathroom, again, not my favorite. The guest stuff is basically things left over from the college years. It will all need to be upgraded once we get a house. I do however love my Elvis Presley Blvd sign because I got it on a trip with my grandmother, Memaw, and it reminds me of her:

Our bedroom! I do not have any pictures of our bathroom because at the time it was not decorated yet:
Our balcony that I love - Which has recently been updated with a new rug!:
Our gnome, Merlin, that we love very, very much!

If anybody else has pictures of their home they would like to share I would love to see them. I hope you have now gotten a better sense of where I live :) Thanks Lindsey for letting my take your idea and run with it!!
