Friday after work our company BBQ began. It was a lot of fun! It started with me going on a hunt for larger cups for me and two of my guy friends. The cups they had out by the drinks were basically plastic juice glasses and that was not going to work. After I tracked down two cups, one of them being my personal one from my office, I still needed a third cup for the remaining guy. Well, I ended up tracking down a large soup to-go container from the cafeteria for him. Hot shot boy was too embarrassed to drink out of it so for the rest of the night I appeared to be sipping on Egg Drop soup. People kept saying Wonton but no. No. No. Egg Drop, get it right people.
An example of the soup container that became my drinking cup - You probably cannot tell here but it was rather large:

The BBQ was a big success! My parents got into town around 6ish or so and got to meet a lot of the people we work with, see my office since I moved and just hang out and enjoy the night. It was suppose to rain but never did so it was nice since there was an over cast - not too hot. My parents headed for the house and Bret and I followed shortly behind them about 11:00pm.
Saturday mom and I got up and went and got pedicures. It was nice to sit back and relax. I always enjoy getting pedicures - who doesn't?! After that I ran her by Talbots and then we headed to the house to get the boys for lunch. We ate at a local burger place here in College Station that my parents really like and then we headed to tailgate with my boss for a bit and go see that Aggies Beat the Hell Outta OK State. We had a fun time at the game and it is always nice to be there when we win! Later we played Rummikub at home then headed to Ninfa's for dinner. I love Mexican food so I was in hog heaven!

Getting ready for some Aggie Baseball:

Mom and I before the game - Note Bret's face in the background. Love it.

TAMU Baseball was raising money for Prostate Cancer research by selling blue t-shirts to fans. In honor of this as well, some of the chalk was blue - I thought that was neat:

Sunday we all went to lunch together and then Daddy, Bret and I went to run some errands while Mom shopped some more at Talbots. We ran by World Market where Bret and I found a rug for our patio and then we stopped by HEB so Daddy could get some spicy trail mix stuff that he really likes from there. We swung by then to say bye to Mom at Talbots then Daddy dropped us back off at home. It was a good and very quick visit with my parents and we really enjoyed the company (especially since all our company fell through for last weekend!).

Also, our newest plant that Daddy brought up from Longview - This is an offspring of my Memaw's rubber plant so I am happy to have it at our house:

That afternoon I went to work out at the gym. I wasn't in the mood for Shredding and plus Bret was settled in watching the NFL draft. Which, I am very happy to say Stephen McGee got picked up by the Dallas Cowboys! YEAH!! I ran two miles on the treadmill and it felt great! I haven't really been running lately since my 5k and especially since I started that new video and I was surprised at how much I have missed it! I was so great to get back into the swing of it all. After I was finished working out I got a really bad migraine so I crashed in the bedroom and watched CSI Miami and read the 5th Harry Potter book. I don't know how many times I have read these books but they are a staple for me when I don't feel like reading my other books. I have about ten books at the moment on my night stand that I am in the process of reading! Bret was watching Gettysburg in the living room, which turned out to be a four hour long movie, so I ended up falling asleep around 9:30pm. For any of you who gets migraines it seems like the best medicine is to just go to bed - so that is what I did and it brought a good end to a very great weekend!
The newest Dallas Cowboy!:

This morning I decided to get up at 6:00am and go run in the gym before getting ready for work. This is going to be my goal for the entire week. Run a mile in the morning and then work out at night. This way if I miss running in the morning or I miss shredding at night I won't feel as guilty because I at least worked out once for that day. If I am able to work out twice every day, even better. But I really am going to push myself this entire week (week in my book ='s week days) to run every morning. After this week is over, I will see how the whole thing went and then I will make the decision from there if I want to keep it up or not. But again, it felt great this morning to get up and run even if it was for just a mile.
On a different note, I am saying "peace out!" to Twitter. I was messing around with it some last night while laying in bed with my headache and I finally figured out how to comment on different peoples things and what not but I am over it. For the most part, to me, Twitter is just one other thing I have to keep up with. I have Facebook down, I have blogging down, so I think I am good for now. So, sorry to anyone who actually read what I had to say in the Twittering world. You'll just have to keep up with me through here or Facebook :)
I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend - I am just now getting around to reading every bodys entries so I look forward to hearing all about what has been going on with everyone!
