We made it to Friday! Sweet...

I haven't been able to decide lately if my weeks are going by quickly or slowly - It's almost like my days are fast but my weeks are long, or vice versa.  Does that make any sense? It kind of does to me but not really... But, none the less, IT'S FRIDAY! Hoot-n-Holla I am happy!

Bret and I finally got contacted by a realtor yesterday afternoon and our house hunt is officially underway - Super, super excited!  She sent over last night a list of houses to go through, we made comments about our likes and dislikes for each one and made notes about which houses we wanted to look at.  We are hoping that Saturday or Sunday afternoon we will get to start walking through some.  Including the adorable house I showed you guys earlier! I cannot wait to get inside that house and look around!

As I mentioned earlier this week, my sister-in-love Mallory and her boy, Rusty, are coming in today and I am getting super excited!  Bret and I are taking off at noon to go to the grocery store, get the house ready and then they will be here about 2-3:00pm or so.  Yeah!! I think it is going to be so much fun getting to hang out with them!

Yesterday, my good and dear friend, Kayla, came in to town on her way through to Houston and we got to go to lunch together and then she spent the afternoon with me at work just talking and catching up.  It was so amazing getting to hear about what's been going on with her - It has been way too long since I have seen her.  I am very, very proud of her - She just finished nursing school and got a job at M.D. Anderson on the recovery floor.  She is so, so smart and I know she is going to make an AMAZING nurse!

So, something I haven't done on Fridays in a while is post some entries from Texts From Last Night.  I use to do this quite a bit but the website got a little too graphic for me so I stopped reading them.  However, to add a little comedy into our blogging world, I have decided to face the nasty people out there, swim through the sea of filth, and find a few PG, PG-13 rated Texts From Last Night to share with you guys:
  • (231): I'm taking last night back. It officially didn't happen. Tell your friends.
  • (305):Either I get my picture taken sitting on a f'in pony, or I'm not coming.
  • (616): a bus full of elementary school kids may or may not have seen me peeing off my front porch this morning
  • (215): just had to take a 4 hour nap to write a one page paper. its obviously the week after winter break.
  • (619): She had a muffin-top while wearing a one piece bathing suit. Thats gotta break one of newton's laws or something
  • (716): After that we used the in-room hotel coffee pot to warm up some queso. it was brilliant
  • (805): just threw up in the bushes outside my lecture hall. sometimes i hate the freedom college gives you.
  • (219): Hey! Thanks for asking, but it didnt go well. He threw up in the car on the way to dinner. Blind dates arent for everyone.
  • (401): Just got my econometrics book in the mail and started flipping through it. Our Thursday parties may turn into u convincing me not to kill myself.
  • (913): I just busted my ass on the ice in front of my entire AA meeting. As if being there wasn't embarrassing enough.
  • (304): my Econ professor just passed around his phone for us to take a pic of ourselves so he could learn our names. I am currently looking him up on my sex offenders app.
  • (217): So I just went to student health services and on my way in there was a girl outside on her phone saying "I just dont want you to be angry" and on my way out she was saying "I have the side effects sheet right here" Someone started the semester off classy
  • (931): my grandma just put on bowling shoes, to play wii bowling.
  • (404): standing in the yard with no pants on waiting for google maps to come and take a picture.
  • (202): He DELETED brick breaker off his blackberry why even bother trying to find something in common?

Lastly, on a more serious note, as you all know the earthquake in Haiti has been heart-breaking not only for their country, but for many families all over the world.  If I had the means to go and help out I truely believe I would be there now.  However, even though I cannot be there, there are still lots and lots of ways you and I, and everyone else, can help.  Please stop by the Today Show website for a list of charities and organizations that are helping with the disaster rovery in Haiti if you would like to help in any form or fashion.  As we all know, a little can go a long way.

Happy Friday you guys! I hope yall have an excellent day, excellent weekend and you all remain safe, healthy and happy.

xx

Hope you have fun with Mallory and Rusty! I'm sure it will be a great time!

I also used to read "texts from last night" regularly, but stopped because some of them were too explicit/rediculous.

Those texts are great! I'm sure we've all had texts that would be "worthy" of that list!
