Thank you MLK for the double pay!

That probably wasn't the classiest title I have ever had... Oh well.  Happy MLK Day everyone.  Bret and I decided to go a head and come in to work today so we can get DOUBLE PAY to put towards our very own BK Lounge.  And by BK Lounge I do mean our first home and not Burger King.  Just to clarify!

Well, it's Monday.  We are starting another work week.  The sun is shining.  The birds are chirping.  And I start back to school this week - AH!  As much as I am loving Grad School, I have to admit, this doesn't sound fun to me:
...Monday 6pm - 9pm
...Thursday 5pm - 8pm
...Friday 5pm - 8:30pm *Only 4 times for the semester*
...Saturday 9:30am - 5:30pm *Only 4 times for the semester*

Now, I do want to say I am very, very grateful that I got into Grad School and I am very, very grateful that I was able to register for nine hours... I just hope this isn't a suicide mission.  On top of this I will still be working a full-time job, training for my half-marathon, house hunting/buying, volunteering and maintaining a healthy relationship with my hubs.  Keep me in your prayers guys - I am usually great under pressure so here's hoping I will be able to pull this semester off! And then, once this is over, I am half way done with earing my Masters! Yippee!

Other things happening this week, Bret is leaving Wednesday to head to Kansas City for work, returning Friday.  I am a little bummed about this because when he gets back Friday I will be in class and then this Saturday is my all day class so I won't get to spend time with him.  I am sure it will be a nice break for him though.  He will get to sprawl out on the couch, watch sports and relax after a busy week of traveling!

We had fun this past weekend with Mallory and Rusty - I haven't uploaded my pictures yet but I am sure you can imagine how they look.  Some smiling, some laughing, some hugging... the usual, no?  We went out Friday night with a group of friends and had a blast! Played some darts, had some drinks, forced shots on Mallory (oops) and came home to chow down on fritos and bean dip - Who wouldn't think that was a blast?!  Saturday Mallory and Rusty slept till about 1:00pm - This just completely amazes me.  I was up at 8am and in the gym to run by 9am, lol.  That afternoon Mallory and I headed to the mall because I wanted some new work shoes.  Hello Dillards and the most amazing sale EVER!  I got some new Gianni Bini black flats for TWENTY DOLLARS! Hello, happy Katie. That evening we went to dinner at Abuelo's (love) and went bowling! We played three games, I lost all three (no shock there) but I DID get better with each game.  I almost broke 100 by the third! haha, sad, I know.  Sunday Mallory and Rusty headed out super early, I went and ran, Bret cooked us waffles, I watched church on TV, watched the Cowboys play horribly and then, fun fun, we went around with our realtor to view houses!  A) Houses are not cheap.  B) Cheap houses are ugly. C) We did not find a dead guy this time.  Score.  So yeah, that pretty much sums up our weekend for you.  Not too shabby, not too crazy - Just happy times!

I cracked myself up this morning, let me tell you.  When I logged in to my blogger dashboard I saw that I now have 70 followers. SEVENTY! That is a lot for me you guys.  I am so bad about branching out and finding new blogs to read because honestly, I am a little shy about it.  I tried to follow a new blog once and learned that I was basically not welcomed. So yeah, I stay clear.  So to see that I had 70 people reading my blog seriously shocked me.  As I told Bret, I don't think I have 70 real-life friends! This is amazing! And then, lol, I start catching up on all of yalls posts and stuff and see lovely Juliana just got 500 followers! Holy smokes!  After a mini panic attack that I couldn't control (does SHE follow 500 people?! Does she read ALL of their blogs?! Does she KNOW that many people in real life?!) I couldn't help but chuckle to myself over my 70 followers.  Now, that being said, THANK YOU TO ALL MY FOLLOWERS! While I might not be the worlds greatest blogger, the friends that I am making on here are so super fun, smart, cute and caring and I am loving how far I personally have come with my branching out.  And oh yes, Juliana needs a few more followers so please, make sure you go check out her blog - She really is super wonderful and I am just busting her chops a little ;)!

In other news, Katie @ Katie's Journey blessed me with two awards this past weekend - Thank you my sweet, sweet friend.  That was very generous of you! I appreciate the thoughts :)

Wow, you are going to be a busy girl! But it will go by so fast and in the end you'll be happy to have your Masters.

It sounds like you had the best weekend! I agree, sleeping until 1 is a little much, but 10 or 11 I can handle. ;)

Congrats on your awards and your followers, you totally deserve both. I love your blog!

That is too funny about the followers comment! I always wonder that about big bloggers that have hundreds of followers. How many of those do they actually read/follow?! :)
