haircut adventure

Yesterday I went to get my haircut after work because my two inches of split ends, or so I felt, were just not working for me any longer. You know when your hair hits that awkward stage between fresh cut and growing out? Yeah, that was me. Hence pony tails by noon on a daily basis. Lovely, yes? Well, my haircut went great and it feels wonderful to have those 2 inches gone - However, getting to that point was very interesting for me yesterday.

The girl who usually cuts my hair has recently moved back to Dallas so I went to her recommendation. Works for me, I have always trusted Krista's judgement. I like to think I am a very easy person when it comes to getting my hair cut. I let them know the general idea of what I want and then tell them to cut it however it will look best for my thin, fine and bodiless hair - Don't let that fool you, despite that love description, I have a LOT of hair. (boo). So, after instructing Amanda to do this yesterday we were good to go. About half way through my hair cut I don't her not to worry about fixing my hair because I was going to work out as soon as I left. No need to waste time and energy on hair that was going to be nasty within the hour. Amanda was having none of that. "Oh no! I am going to fix your hair so you can see all the ways you can style your hair since it's thin.".... Great...

Well - 30 minutes, 8 products and a lot of teasing later, I officially looked like a CMT bobble head. I walked out of there and immediately put my hair in a pony tail! It was way too intense for me. I got home, combed out my goopy hair and THEN it looked like normal people hair again, lol. She was intense about products. AH! Then I went to the gym...

the.end.

Too funny! I hate it when stylists try to put all the junk in your hair! :) What a cute story!

Ya, stylists can definitely get a little out of control with products! I try and limit the amount I use on customers ;)

Don't you just love fresh haircuts? ;)

I never, never, never, NEVER let them style my hair for me. I have that curly-needs-to-straightened or just LEFT completely curly type hair..and it truly can be hideous when they "try".

How funny!! I cant stand hair stylists who are pushy! I go to Visible Changes in The Woodlands and they are ALWAYS trying to sell me something!
