Help for a friend.

Good morning! I will be updating about my weekend later but, for now, I have a friend who lives in the Dallas area who is becoming a teacher and she has asked me for some help. Since I do not live in the Dallas area, if any of you guys would be able to help I would, and she, would greatly appreciate everything. Her message is as follows:

"I am going through alternative certification with A+ Texas Teachers and will take m EC-12 161 Special Ed Test on May 22nd to become a Special Ed teacher! I will also be taking EC-4 to be able to teach in the classroom through the 4th grade sometime after the first test. Basically I am wondering if there is any chance you know anybody teaching in the Dallas area or surrounding cities. I'd appreciate any contacts you may know. I have a portfolio, resume and teaching philosophy to show what I plan to do in the classroom so when I get any face to face time I can go over that. I want to teach very badly and can't wait to tell principals so I can hopefully get a teaching position."

Any advice, contacts, etc you think my friend could use would be very helpful. Not being a teacher I am kind of at a loss for half the stuff she is talking about so again, anything you have to offer that I can pass on would be great.
