Friday was pretty much the same ole, same ole at work. I had made a Twitter account about a month ago and never did anything with it but then some of my friends were starting to get on there so I decided to give it another try. I spent most of my day on Friday trying to teach myself the ropes with all the "tweeting" business. It is still way over my head and I am not 100% sure what I am doing on there but I figured out how to send updates from my phone so I figure that is good enough for now. Just another thing to keep me occupied at work when I have down time. Friday after work Bret and I headed to Fox & Hound for some drinks and fattening food. Our friends John Carter and Scott joined us a little later which was so fun! I haven't seen either boys since around football season so it was great getting to hang with them while they were both in town. Scott got his Aggie ring on Friday so it was a HUGE day for him! Around 9:30pm or so, our good friends Diane and Craig got into town so we were able to hang out with them for a little bit. Bret and I headed to the house about 10:30pm because he had to be at work bright and early on Saturday - boo.
Saturday was the perfect day to sleep in thanks to all the rain and gloomy weather unfortunately however, we didn't get to. As I said, Bret was up and out of the house by 7:45am and while he did a great job of not waking me up, I woke up anyways and was unable to go back to sleep. Our company Golf Tournament got canceled due to all the storms so, my next plan was to go get pedicures with Diane and her Mother-in-law and go shopping with them but those plans fell through. I had gotten up, showered and gotten ready for nothing - I am never a fan of that. So, I spent the rest of the morning/day watching Sex and the City. Bret thought he was going to be home around lunch time so we decided to go out for lunch so I waited for him to eat. As 3:30pm rolled around he finally decided to run and grab him some McDonald's since he was still at work and since I was starving by that point, I decided to eat some lunch as well. As you might be able to tell, my weekend did not turn out like it was suppose to... You can refer to the previous entry about what was suppose to be going on... Bret finally got home around 4:30 or so. Right after we had both finished eating our separate lunches, he was able to come home. Had we held out for about 45 for minutes we could have eaten together. Boo. Oh well! I decided to sit outside and read for a bit and then Bret and I watched our recorded episode of Southland. This is a new cop show that have Ben McKenzie on it from O.C. (and Austin, TX what, what!) that airs on NBC on Thursday nights. This was the 2nd episode and Bret and I are falling in love with the whole story line. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out! A bonus, to me at least, is Tom Everett Scott is on the show whom I just completely adore. If you don't know who that is it's Shades from That Thing You Do!! After this I decided to read and go to bed. I felt horrible because I was suppose to go to Scott's ring dunking Saturday night but after the disappointing day I had had, I decided sleep was the best solution for me.
Ben McKenzie - Little Austin hotty!

Tom Everett Scott - "We want Shades! We want Shades!"

Sunday morning I awoke to a gorgeous day and a new attitude! I got up and started my day with Shred 8 at Level 3. Again, Level 3 kicked my butt all over my living room but I loved it! I am enjoying the challenge and I can tell that it is going to start getting easier soon so that's good too I suppose. I do have a feeling I will be starting back at the gym sooner than later but for now, my legs are a little tight today so I know I did something productive with the workout! After the workout and big ole bowl of Cheerios, Bret and I decided to watch Role Models. We rented it a while ago and just never got around to watching the movie. My review was, not too shabby! I thought it was funny and cute and it surprised me in some places so I was happy. While sitting around with the hubby was nice, it was time to get out of the house! After my less than thrilling day on Saturday, I needed to get out and soak up the sun! Bret and I decided to go to lunch at Chili's (YUMM) and then run a few errands. I went and bought some new body spray at Bath & Body Works, Coconut Lime Verbena, and then Bret got some new shirts for work at The Gap. I just adore Gap - I think I could buy all my clothes from that store! After braving the mall (yuck) hubby and hit our usual spots - Best Buy and Barnes & Nobles. Bret bought Maverick at Best Buy for $4.99, what a deal! Although, I must say, I had never heard of Maverick so I was a little suspicious as to why it was so cheap. Hmmm... and then at Barnes & Nobles I bought a great new book on the 60's to add to my collection (I am obsessed), another Peter Pan book to add to that collection (I love Peter Pan so if you ever come across a neat looking or old version please let me know) and Bret bought another Clive Cussler book. He really enjoys reading Clive Cussler novels which is good because there are a million of them! After our little shopping trip we decided to head back home where I grabbed my phone, IPod and new 60's book and headed out to the pool to lay out. Bret felt like staying in so I decided to soak up the sun without him. It felt so great to lay out by the pool! I have missed the warmth and sunshine of Summer so thank goodness it is just right around the corner! About an hour later I decided to turn back in. Bret and I watched our recorded episode of Kings - Still loving it - and then we watched Maverick. I got to see exactly why it was $4.99 but Bret was happy so I enjoyed his happiness :)
This morning started off with me registering for my Fall semester classes! I still cannot believe I am about to be back in school again! I am getting more and more excited. I can only imagine how excited I am going to be when my Masters is complete! Tonight is going to be super fun because Bret and I are going to go see the Wizard of Oz play! I just adore the Wizard of Oz, so classic. So, I am looking forward to putting on a new dress and heading to the theatre!
I hope everybody is having a great Monday so far and all weekends were fun and exciting! And real quick, I wanted to say "hi!" to my new blogging friends, d.a.r, yours truly..., Lindsey, Mrs. G.I Joe and Jon and Steph! (I apologize, I don't know how to do the whole link thing so I am not going to try) I really appreciate getting new blogging friends and I am enjoying yalls blogs very much!
Enjoy the day and hopefully the sun!

Funny...I just heard about tweeter for the first time last week on Oprah. Apparently Aston Kutcher has the most posts/hits (don't know the terminology), above CNN.

Have fun at the play!! I bet it is awesome! Can't wait to hear about it!!
Oh my, it sounds like you had an incredible weekend! Minus the whole plans falling through thing, that really irks me too, especially if I have gotten out of comfy pjs :)
