10 years already?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30306728/

I am attaching the link to the MSNBC article that talks about today, the 10th anniversary of the shootings at Columbine. Is it just me or did 10 years go by very, very quickly?! I was thirteen when the Columbine shootings happened and I can still vividly remember that day and how frightened I was as a student. It seems to me that started the beginning of so many school problems. Well, I take that back, that was definitely not the start of all those problems but after Columbine, things were talked about a lot more. In high school I know I went through at least five bomb threat evacuations which never happened before then. It really does sadden me to think of what those students went through on that day mainly because I cannot even imagine how horrible that was for them. And then, what is even more awful are the things kids are dealing with today at school. There are so many situations children and teens are put in now that I didn't even know about when I was in school. The innocence of children is being lost too soon and too easily and it is turning points in our history, like Columbine, that adds to this.

I pray that God is with everyone effected by Columbine - From families to students, teachers to the general American population. April 20, 1999 was a horrible day for many, many people but I hope, from situations like this, everybody was able to band closer together and that in the end, we were all made stronger.
