Please don't let this be me!

In less than a month I will be snowballing, without a doubt, down a mountain for the first time ever! AKA, attempting to ski!! I am not naive enough to think that I am going to be a pro at skiing the first time I ever get on a mountain. I use to think the first time I picked up a golf club I was going to automatically rock and let me tell you, I do not rock, by any means, at golf. You can ask Bret, last time we played he just laughed at me. But, anyways, in February Bret, me and a group of friends will be heading off to Pagosa Springs to go skiing! I am completely excited but a little nervous of 2 things. A) Running into Trees and B) getting off of the Ski Lift. I am not afraid of falling or crashing really because I know I am going to fall, I have come to terms with that. I fall walking around on solid ground bare foot so I am pretty sure if you strap me into ski's, put me on a downward slope and add speed to me, I am going to turn into a human snowball. But, if these little fears were not enough, I see this article on the Today show.

A guy who dangled upside down from a ski lift with his bare bottom exposed probably doesn't want to hear any "ski bum" jokes.

Officials at Vail Resorts in Colorado say the 48-year-old man was trying to get on the Blue Ski basin lift on New Year's Day. They haven't said what went wrong.
Workers stopped the lift, backed it up 10 or 12 feet and rescued the man after about seven minutes. His name hasn't been released.

Bystanders snapped photos and posted them on the Internet, showing a man who looks to be hanging by one ski boot, his ski pants and underwear apparently snagged in the chair and reaching no farther than his knees.

Yes, that's right. That is a man, hanging UP SIDE DOWN from his ski lift chair with his entire universe showing to the public! The only thing I can think of when I look at this picture is, "Oh man, if it could happen to that man it could totally happen to me!" So, while you are saying your prayers at night, please ask God to not let me turn into the next popular Internet search. I don't know how well my self-esteem would be able to hold up after something like this!!

Although embarrassing to you, that would be hilarious!!! I am sure Bret wouldn't let that happen to you...as long as you are nice to him. :)
