they call me mellow yellow

a few years ago I bought a little green bookshelf from an antique store in Springtown for $20. solid wood, a not-so-attractive wood color but CHEAP!

When we lived in our apartment we had it in the corner of our guest bedroom and it was covered in books so the color was bearable for the time being.

When we moved into our house last year I decided to paint it and use it as a focal point in our back hallway: 

Now, with me being on my painting streak, I decided to go ahead and paint the bookshelf yellow.  One snag... I knew from my other painting adventures that I was going to run out of paint before I could finish and me, already have gone to wal-mart (two different ones) two times in the same day, I said forget it and decided just to paint the inside...

I cannot decide if I am 100% sold on it or not but, for now, I have a brown and yellow bookshelf!

Later on I might go ahead and paint the entire thing yellow, once I find myself at wal-mart again and remember to buy paint... but for now, I have my brown and yellow bookshelf and it's serving its purpose!
