Alrighty, after my post from yesterday where I was very much annoyingly complaining, I feel that I have to step up with a happier post! Soooo, here I sit at 6:00am, ready to take on the day - and a long weekend! Bret and I are leaving this morning to drive out to West Texas to this little jewel:

Bret's high school buddy, Phillip, is getting married tomorrow at Chapel in the Vineyard outside of San Angelo. All the pictures of the place look stunning so I am excited to see how pretty the wedding is going to be! Bret is a groomsman so tonight we have the rehearsal + dinner and then tomorrow the boys are playing golf, have pictures at 5pm and then the wedding is at 7am. Absolutely NO idea what I am going to be doing all day but surely I can find some trouble to get into ;)

Sunday we are moving on to Odessa to visit the sweet Stribling family!

We haven't seen these guys since 2009 so it will be fun to hang out and catch up for the day - Miz. Kara is currently pregnant with TWINS so I cannot wait to hear all about the adventures she has been having with those little babies growing and moving around! Maybe her twin genes will rub off on me and when I get pregnant one day, I can have twins too!

Bret and I will then head home on Monday and WE WILL GET BABY GIRL BACK!

Yay! June Piper will be coming home! Yay, yay, yay!

I am beginning to think I have an unhealthy attachment to my puppy...

There are a few other things going on this weekend that I am excited about, even if I cannot be there to celebrate, and that is GRADUATION!!!

Big, huge, important shout-out goes to my dear friend ANDREA on her graduation day!!

Andrea has earned her Master of Science in Educational Human Resource Development!

We went through grad school together and I am so excited for her, and proud of her, that she has finished strong!

Another very huge shout-out goes to my Sister-in-love, Mallory, on her graduation day!!!!

Mallory has earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology!

I am so proud of you, sis, and I love you to pieces!

Something else that we have in the works is Bret is getting a new truck!

Well it is a used truck, but new to him!

The joys of your daddy being in the car business is we always get to find deals we like and trade in our cars way more than is necessary... I am currently on my ninth vehicle... yeah, I think that's right.

Anyways, so Bret is super excited, as am I! It's also a 4WD so it will be perfect for our trips to Colorado (since bret insists on driving and not flying ::sigh::) and it has TVs in the headrests so I am just going to be chillin' in the back seats majority of our road trips from now on!

I am sure by now you guys have seen the OPI Texas edition colors...

Well, I am obsessed with them. Looking at this picture I know I own at least 5 of these and tend to buy another one every time I am at the grocery store! Right now I am wearing "do you think i'm tex-y" on my fingers and "i want to be a lone-star" on my toes! Love it! My favorite is probably "san tan-tonio" but I am also a big fan of "suzi loves cowboys" and "yall come back ya hear?" - with fun names like that + Texas pride, how could I NOT love them?! We have a trip coming up to Galveston at the end of August so I am going to just HAVE to buy "guy meets gal-veston" for that. I mean, obviously!

Haha, alrighty, I am off to go make my morning coffee, watch some Today Show and wait for Mr. Mathis to wake up so we can get to packing and hit the road! Happy Friday my loves! Enjoy the day!
