before & after

Hey you guys! Thanks for all the well wishes you have been sending my way in regards to my surgery! I greatly appreciate all the positive thoughts and energy! Well, as you may know, I survived! yay! Wednesday night I had to take a celebrex to prepare my body for inflammation and also had to put on a patch for nausea (like people do for cruise ships).  Thursday I got up, showered, almost busted it because that patch made me feel uber drunk, and then headed to the hospital.  As soon as I got there they got me admitted and took me back to my room to get ready for surgery.  I had to wear some super tight stockings and Velcro boot things to help with circulation PLUS special socks PLUS I was wrapped in a heating blanket.  It was intense! My anesthesiologist came in and added something to my IV, Dr. Rude came in and marked me for surgery and that is the last thing I remember... Apparently when I was wheeled out of the room I started singing Happy Birthday even though Doc wasn't around and I also pointed my finger to the sky to say I was #1 (like the football players who get wheeled off the field after being hurt) - Classic!  Anyways, next thing I know a nurse was taking the oxygen thing off my face, explaining that my throat would hurt from the tube, and that I was all done.  I made it, yay!! The rest of my Thursday was pretty much a blur.  I had friends stop by the house although I vaguely remember that and I know I ate some lasagna but I barely remember that as well.  But yesterday, Friday, I was stir crazy and got out of the house with my mommy and mom-in-love and went shopping :) That's right - Shopping! Today I was sitting around watching football, drugged up on hydro, and just trying to will all my swelling to go down!
