Reading for pleasure? What's that?!

One of my favorite past times is reading.  I love to read.  I come from a family of readers and writers and what can I say, it's in my blood.  Well, with grad school being a little crazy this last semester my reading for pleasure time has had to take a back seat.  But not any more! I have a few weeks until classes start back up on June 1st so I am getting some reading time in dag blast it!  So, imagine my excitement when I log in to Barnes & Nobles.com the other day and see that my two favorite chick-lit authors have BOTH put out new books! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The book gods knew I needed some good reading for my time off and decided to award me.  How nice of them.  Thank you book gods.  I appreciate your generosity.

My current reading for fun books that require no thought:

i am a happy reader

I will leave you with a story about my hubs.

During the middle of the night last night I was awaken to Bret grabbing my arm and telling me (in a very loud, stern voice) to 'wake up!' Me, being terrified, immediately began asking what was wrong looking around for a fire/tornado/big robber with a gun/something to make sense of the situation.  The next minute went as follows:

Bret, what's wrong? What's going on?!

Bret, sitting straight up looking at me with HUGE eyes says, "You have to get up, you have to get up"

why?!

"you've got to get the cap.  get the cap and.. and... the cap"

the cap? what are you talking about?
I am still freaking out, heart racing, trying to figure out who died

"You have to put the caps on all the pens"

at this point... I think 'you.have.got.to.be.kidding.me'
i grab my husbands face, look him directly in the eye and say
"GO BACK TO SLEEP"

i proceeded to lay awake for 2 hours because i was trying to let the heart attack pass that my husband so lovingly induced

the end.

I have two more papers to write and then I can join in the reading for pleasure club! I'm so excited.

And your story about your sleep-talking hubby literally made me laugh out loud. Obviously putting the caps on all the pens is crucial in the middle of the night. Brian does all sorts of weird stuff in his sleep, but once he woke me up to show me something he was "holding." He just kept pointing at his EMPTY hand and then looking at me. I would really like to know what his sleep brain was trying to tell me!

I LOVE reading too, I could never read in college cause I would get sucked into a book and then put homework by the wayside. Enjoy your break and books!

I should know this, but what will your Master's be in? I'm trying to figure out what my plan with graduate school is going to be, and am looking for all suggestions I can get!
