Yellow everybody!

"yellow" is me saying "hello" in a loud, happy and a little bit of spunk, type of a voice.  Yellow!  So, in College Station right now it is GORGEOUS outside by oh.my.gosh. is it cold.  As in brrr.  Drinking coffee, have my heater going, got 2 long sleeve shirts on and my jacket in my lap.  This little Texan wasn't made for this.  If I were in Colorado I would be perfectly ok with this weather.  But, you know what? I am not.  I am in South TEXAS.  Land of heat. HEAT I tell you.

I would first like to say THANK YOU to all of you sweet, sweet blogging friends of mine out there.  My post yesterday about mine and Bret's weekend situation was in no way a call for sympathy of any kind it was mainly for me to get the whole ordeal off my chest.  In case you couldn't tell, it has really been eating me up and it was nice to get it out of me and write it all down.  The comments that I got from all of you following my post though were amazing, very beautiful and more helpful than I will ever be able to explain.  Thank you guys so much for caring about me and Bret and once again, I am amazed by this little community of ours and how, even though I may never meet you guys, I still believe yall are my friends.  Thank you. xx

Now, on to my real post for the day... Bret and I went and saw Avatar last night and I must say, I was surprised that I liked it.  Honestly, I had no desire what-so-ever to see it but, I knew Bret wanted to so I told him I would go.  Plus, the more I thought about it, the more I realized that if I didn't see it now and get the full 3D-Big Movie Screen effect while I could then I would miss out on it forever.  No going back my peeps!  So, I set my expectations extremely low for good measure and went in with my super hip glasses to settle in for a long, long movie.  Again, I enjoyed the movie.  I think it could have been a little shorter over all but it was a very sweet story and umm... Hello...

Did not know you existed sir but I am glad that I know now!  Yellow Sam Worthington, yellow. Hmmm... Oh, and bonus! It had the cute little guy from Bones in the movie that I just adore! Good for him!

Makes me happy to see him up on the big screen.  He might have been in a movie with Paris Hilton once. No, not the movie she is famous for.  But I really don't think that should count as a "movie" per say.  This one will make him way rich and probably a lot more happy.  Paris Hilton vs. Sam Worthington.  Even if he isn't gay, surely he still has amazing taste!

So, anyways, even if you don't have a desire to see Avatar, go check it out.  It really has some beautiful graphics, a great message and very pretty trees.  Sorry, can't help it.  I love trees.  If you are more of a free spirit like myself then I think the message will be even stronger for you and you will have an amazing experience from the whole thing.  This little girl gives the movie two thumbs up! CHEESE.

2010 has finally arrived and I have set my list of goals I would like to accomplish for the New Year.  I always love rolling over into January.  I always try to see meaning and beauty behind each holiday and something about fresh starts really just makes me happy.  And so does the lady bug I just found on my window in my office.

Katie's Goals for 2010
one.
Write in my journal daily.
If not daily, when I play catch-up, write about the days I missed.

two.
Volunteer throughout the year.

three.
Compete in more runs this year than last.
aka, more than 5

four.
Find and buy our first home in College Station.

five.
I can't write this outloud in case certain people read it but it's a good one that I pray for everyday!

six.
Stop cussing.
muy importante

seven.
Write a book.
yes, I have one started but I am stuck which leads me to believe I am just not into the story.  So, I would like to start fresh with my new year and write a book.

eight.
Continute to soak in as much knowledge in Grad School as possible.
All A's and B's.
Like Einstein said, "Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death”

nine.
Run 500 miles this year.
I almost got there for 2009 and that was with me not running very much so I am hoping I can break it this year.

ten.
And to remember:

I have no desire to see Avatar. Thankfully, Fred went without me. I love your goals. Number 6 is a must on my list too. I may have to start carrying around some soap.

Good goals! I need to watch my mouth more often as well!
I wanted to see Avatar but no one else wanted to so I have not had a chance to go yet.
Have a great day!

I have been hearing so many good things about Avatar. We're the same way - it doesn't look interesting to me, but Nick really wants to see it so I told him I'd go. I think I might try to see it this weekend since everyone keeps saying it's amazing!
