Wishful Wednesday

'I wish'.... I had Cameron Diaz's hair/hairstyle from The Holiday!

For mine and Bret's wedding I let my hair grow, and grow, and grow.  Or so I felt like that is what I did.  So, after the wedding was over I kept getting discussed with my hair.  Sadly, I am just not one of those people who can pull off the long, flowy look.  My hair is very fine.  There is a LOT of it but it is so fine that it all just sticks together and looks tangly and icky.  Who wants to look at that? It has NO volumn no matter what I do to it or what products I use so, one day I just gave up, took a picture of Cameron Diaz into my hair stylist and said DO THIS!  I have always loved Cameron Diaz and I think she is so pretty.  Everytime I watch The Holiday I always tell Bret, or whoever is lucky enough to be around, I WANT HER HAIR!!

Here was my hair...

This was taking on the bus from the airport to our hotel in Mexico.  April 2008, just a few days before our wedding! Long hair!

And then, I did this...

Yes, that's right.  Chopped it off.  I was channeling my inner Diaz.  I told you I wanted her hair!  This was just a few months after I cut all my hair off at the end of 2008.

As of now, my hair is growing out some.  Not by choice really.  Well, I take that back.  It is by choice.  We are buying a house this year and I am trying to cut every expense possible SO, until it is 100% necessary for me to spend the money to cut my hair, I won't!  My reasoning I feel like comes from a good place.  But, when yall see in my pictures I am starting to look all scraggly, somebody please tell me.  Thank you and GOD BLESS in advance for trying to keep me looking decent.  Don't need my hubs leaving me then there will be no point in having a house! ;)

Happy Hump Day you guys - All down hill from here!

Side note:  I watched Star Trek last night for the first time.  The new one that is with Chris Pine.  Bret got it for Christmas and being the good wife again (I already saw Avatar, remember?) I said I would watch it with him.  Yeah... I could have lived without that movie.  I was so lost and so bored.  I think I text my Dad throughout the entire movie telling him how lost I was.  Blah.  I have never seen anything Star Trek related so maybe that's why I was all sorts of confused.  Although, neither has B and he liked it just fine.  Whatever, if it was just me then that's cool too.  I repeat, not a fan. I am however helping that one girl from Center Stage jack up her income.  In two days I saw two of her movies! Avatar and then Star Trek!
