I missed Friday's textfromlastnight post so here are a few to hold you over until this Friday:
- (707): there is a ziplock bag over sangria in a wineglass in the fridge...classy?
- (403): She was so drunk that I kept trying to switch out her wine for water. Sort of like Jesus, but in reverse.
- (516): I swear he was trying to crawl under my door last night muttering "I'm Alex Mac! I'm Alex Mac!"
- (240): Well that's not true. She had two social skills. She kept them in her bra
- (440): We are allowed to think Jacob from Twilight is hot in 468 days!(1-440): I don't know what is sadder, the fact that you figured that out or the fact that I can't wait until then!!
Bret and I had a pretty good week - The basic run down is as follows: Pitcher's of Margaritas for $9 on Friday, Grocery shopping-house cleaning-work out-pool time-hamburgers on Saturday, Inlaws-Abuleos-The Proposal on Sunday! Simple enough, right? The Proposal was super cute. Very predictable as all chick flicks are but I recommend seeing it. Bret even seemed to enjoy the humor so I wouldn't say it is 100% for just us girls.
Yesterday was interesting. My dear friend Diane came into town and we went to Cheddars for dinner last night. About the time we were leaving a tornado, literally a tornado, several tornadoes in fact touched down in College Station so that was fun. We were at Cheddars for a long while with flickering lights, golf ball size hail, flooding and tornadoes all around us. We made it home eventually and all is well now :) I was completely bummed though because we were suppose to go see Harry Potter last night. ::sigh:: So, I am now still waiting to see my beloved Harry.
Few things that are happening:
A) Check out the great giveaway that Jon & Steph are giving to their bloggers to celebrate their 200th post!
B) I am going to Vegas!! YEAH! Turns out Bret has to travel to Reno on my birthday (let me note this is the 2nd time our company is sending him away on my birthday!). But, we are making the most of it and he will fly to Vegas and meet me there on August 21st! Happy 24th birthday to me! We will stay there for a short weekend trip and I am completely excited. I have never been to Vegas so if there is anything you think we should do, let me know! We are going to go see Zumanity while we are there, or so we hope, and other than that, no clue. I will be getting there a few hours before Bret so I want to go walk around and take pictures and stuff so that should be fun. Vegas baby!!
C) I get to go to a workout class tomorrow for free with a girl that I work with and I am really looking forward to it! It's Combat at Gold's Gym and I am told it will kick my butt! Bring.It.On.
D) Ryan O'Neal was interviewed this morning on the Today Show and it completely broke my heart. It was so sweet to see how much love he has for Farrah and their son. Really was hard to put make up on while my eyes were tearing up! Hang in there Ryan!
E) Paula is going to leave American Idol?! THANK YOU! Sorry, I love American Idol but I fully believe Simon should be the only one aloud to speak. Just personal opinion. Well, I take that back, I forgot about the new judge. She doesn't bother me too much as long as she doesn't talk to Simon. So Simon and new girl can speak, just not to each other and Randy and Paula can leave. Peace out Paula! Hugs not drugs!
F) I have started a new online daily devotional at Girlfriends in God and I am really excited to get started! I read my first devotional yesterday and I really think I am going to enjoy the women who write on this site. If you are looking for a new devotional, check it out: http://www.girlfriendsingod.com/
G) This weekend Bret and I are heading to Springtown to celebrate his mother's birthday! WOO HOO! Bring on birthday cake!
I hope you guys are having a good week, don't forget to check out the giveaway and I will be swinging back around later!
