As you all know, today is April Fools Day. A lot of people out there really get into April Fools. Me, I have never been a big prankster so, for the most part, I just sit back and see what happens to everyone else. However, starting several years ago while I was still in grade school, my dad came into my room one morning while I was getting ready for school and told me that it was snowing outside. My dad is a good little actor so he put on his excited look and got all into making me believe school was canceled because of all the snow! Me, trusting my Daddy, I ran to the window to discover no snow. Boo. Ever since then, every April Fools Day my dad and I, whoever said it first, always stuck by the notion that it was snowing outside. One year while in high school, as fate would have it, it really was snowing outside! It took my dad several minutes before I would even agree to look out the window. After all, we have been saying the "snow day" April Fools jokes for a while by that point. But, to my disbelief, I looked outside and there really was snow on the ground! Snow in Texas is a miracle in itself but on April Fools Day was even crazier! Till this day though, Dad and I still use the old Snow joke. In fact, this is what I found waiting for me on my phone this morning:

No work today! Due to the snow storm!
While it isn't snowing today in College Station, it is always fun to see who will say something first each year and Dad and I will sit around until one year it really does apply again! That is the real April Fools joke!

That's too funny! I could see why you wouldn't believe your dad on the day it was actually snowing!
I don't understand why anyone would give you slack about getting married on April 14th. People just don't think before they speak sometimes. You know my parents got married on April 14th. That was an available Saturday during the year we were planning our wedding. My dad joked with me about us getting married on the same day. We obviously didn't, but I always think about my parents whenever I see you write about that day.
That is so sweet, I got tears in my eyes just reading it.
