It is official - Bret and I are now in our second year of marriage! We made it! Last night Bret and I celebrated our big one year anniversary in our own little way which I have coined, Ghetto Fab. Bret and I worked yesterday so once we were off we headed to the lovely Post Oak Mall of College Station and picked up our COOKIE CAKE from Great American Cookie Company. That's right, since we did not have left over cake from our wedding in Mexico, we bought a cookie cake! Once we got home I worked out - Shred day #6 could not be put on hold! After working out I had a wonderfully romantic meal alone of Smart Ones microwave Rigatoni since I was starving. Bret and I had Freebirds for lunch that day and since Bret had a burrito he was not hungry, me however, I only had soup so I was famished! After my gourmet dinner that I had placed on a pot holder and ate on the living room chair, Bret and I decided to crack out the champagne! So the bubbly was flowing, the cookie cake was cut and we were ready to reminisce. I got our reception plate out of the hall and we read through all the lovely things people had to say on our big day and then we moved over to our wedding DVD. I don't know if our Blue-Ray disk just didn't like our DVD or what but it kept freezing on this one part so we eventually skipped to a different chapter so we didn't watch about half of the ceremony - Love it! After the video the celebration was over and we watched American Idol! While our little at home celebration might not register as fun and sexy on some other couples radars, I thought it was perfect and I could not have asked for a better evening with my one and only. Yeah for one year down - A lifetime to go!!
Starting the celebration with a sweaty, post-workout picture. Love it.

All the great cards from each other and our family!

The little set up I had going with our picture, champagne, toasting flutes and cake.

Bret getting ready to open the champagne! The scariest part to me always!

Ta-da! The wedding cake of my dreams! HAHA

It was SO YUMMY!

The plate from our reception that all our guests signed - One of my favorite artifacts!

The cover to our wedding DVD:

Watching our best day all over again!
