My extended weekend!

This past weekend, Saturday morning in particular, I headed to good ole Longview to see my parents and to attend a baby shower for my old drill team director, Mrs. Eisenhuth. Bret was unable to make the trip due to work so Saturday morning, I packed my bags, downloaded a book on tape and hit the road! When I got in I went and saw my Daddy at work then headed to my #1 favorite spot, TACO BUENO! We do not have Taco Bueno in College Station, just (eik!) Taco Cabana so every time I go into town, Bueno is on my list of places to stop. I told Bret the other night I would gladly accept a date to Bueno and not hold that against a man, at all! So, I picked up lunch for Mom and I and then headed to the house. For the afternoon, I went with mom to run an errand then headed off to my friends house, Brandi (hacker) Joyner to help decorate for the baby shower. That was an interesting adventure... We spent a good two hours blowing up balloons, hanging streamers, etc just to find out they all fell by Sunday morning. AH! Oh well... That evening I hung out with my parents and went to bed a a good 10:00pm because I was so exhausted!

Sunday Kateland came over to eat breakfast with Mom, Dad and I. Not just any breakfast grant you, it was my dad's BIG breakfast that he makes that is SO good. Fantastic in fact, hence why people like Kateland come out of the wood works to join us! Later I got ready and Kateland and I headed off to the baby shower. (the longest shower ever 1:30 - 5:00pm) We had a lot of fun though. We got to see several girls we danced with while in school plus got to meet a lot of current Viewettes. I forgot how young high school kids are... I know that I am NOT old by any means and I am not even close to being old but these girls made me feel that way. When all the alumni Viewettes show up in dresses while the current ones are in jeans and t-shirts you really wonder if there is an age gap that correlates with this or just etiquette. But, needless to say, I was glad when that event was over and I could get away from 30+ girls. Afterwards Kateland and I got to hang out for a couple more hours which was fun since I haven't gotten to see her since this summer! That night my parents and I watched the Oscars then again, I headed off to sleep rather early! (Maybe I am old after all :/)

Monday I had the day off so I got up, drove back to College Station and met Jennifer for pedicures and shopping! Always a fun adventure to have. Then it was off to the gym to run and then I was showered and presentable by the time Bret got home from work. It was a very nice, long weekend!

Pictures from my weekend!
Mathis Creek!
This picture is extremely blurry but between College Station and Madisonville there is "Mathis Creek" and I always wanted to take a picture so, I did! (while trying to drive and balance my camera - easy task, let me tell you!)
