So, yesterday afternoon I get home and tell Bret "Hey, I posted the Christmas pictures up on our blog today! Don't worry, none of the embarrassing ones went up!" Side note: I took some pictures of Bret's old Christmas ornaments while in Springtown and I must say, there are some very interesting ones that show off some of Bret's more risky hair style choices from when parents still determined how we look - Mullet included! But, after I told Bret about posting the pictures on 'our' blog, he quickly followed with "Ooohh, so it's our blog now, huh?" Quick one Bret Mathis, quick one...
Now, let us fast forward to dinner that night at Chili's. Bret was getting a to go box for his nachos when I pointed out that they would heat up better if he put them in the toaster oven. Now, our toaster oven, I am not a fan of. It is the LARGEST toaster oven known to man and it takes up a LOT of room. Granted, we have it in a corner at the moment so it isn't that bad right now but still, I am not a fan. So, after I mentioned the warming up of the nachos, Bret said "Good idea" and then I quickly pointed out that the toaster oven is his stupid toaster oven and, as I always mention when talking about the giant waste of space on my counter top, that I do not claim the toaster oven nor do I like it. Bret, in all his clever and witty ways then pointed out to me that "If it is our blog, it is our toaster oven." So, here I am to announce - This is now just Katie's blog because it will never be "our" toaster oven!
