we did it!

We survived our first days! Brooklyn rocked it at daycare (I am told she was such a sweet little girl) and I enjoyed being behind a desk again working on new hire orientation and being productive in another way! I love how easily one can fall back into a routine - There is something satisfying about knowing what you are doing sometimes! But, what made my day amazingly perfect was picking Brooklyn up from daycare and having her smile and laugh when she heard my voice. Thank goodness she didn't forget her mommy already!

Somebody who has recently moved please help me think of everything I am suppose to be doing...
  1. get Brooklyn's birth certificate from county records
  2. find a place to live (pretty sure this one is done)
  3. pack and pack some more
  4. find a daycare (again, pretty sure this one is done)
  5. find a pediatrician & schedule her 4 month shots
  6. figure out where in the world I am driving to since I am clueless about Houston
  7. forward address
  8. turn off stuff at the house we won't need
  9. what am I missing??......

I had to make a list of everywhere our address needed to be changed - it seemed never ending. i.e. credit card billing address and everywhere online I pay with my cc updating my address there, magazines, toll tag, amazon, banking/checks, drivers license, etc. Thought they will forward your mail, each individual place still wants you to let them know your new address or eventually they'll stop forwarding. When you change your address online with USPS they will send you all kinds of coupons and stuff for Lowes, Pottery Barn, etc. If you need any Houston recs I'm your girl, lived there my whole life until we moved to Tyler last year!
