not a fan of becoming a fatty... just saying

So over the past two months I have gained 10 pounds.  Yes, you read that right, TEN POUNDS.  On a 5'1" individual, like myself, that is a lot of weight to take on without it going unnoticed.  Needless to say that I have been very unhappy about it and could not really see HOW I managed to do that.  While I know I wasn't working out as much as I use to, I am still a relatively healthy eater so 10 pounds should not have appeared on my hips and butt practically over night!

Well.... I found the problem...

About two months ago I started taking Glucosamine tablets to help with some of the injuries that were flaring up while I was running (like my tibia fracture) but, turns out, they can cause WEIGHT GAIN!

Evidence has begun to pile up that indicates glucosamine clearly causes insulin resistance in vitro and intravenously. Insulin resistance makes you FAT and can lead to metabolic syndrome, or worse, type 2 diabetes

Needless to say, I can run through the pain... But I will not be happy if I continue to gain weight.  Glucosamine pills, meet my trashcan.
