goals, goals, goals

I haven't thought about my goals for 2011 just yet but I thought I needed to look back on 2010 and see how I did with my previously set goals. I know I failed at some, achieved others, but, at the end of the day I am proud of my year and thankful for everything 2010 brought to me and my family.

Katie's Goals for 2010
one.
Write in my journal daily.
If not daily, when I play catch-up, write about the days I missed.
well... I tried... I made it about 3 months into the year.  BUT, I do update my planner daily with things I have done so that counts, yah?

two.
Volunteer throughout the year.
fail. epic fail.

three.
Compete in more runs this year than last.
aka, more than 5
Done!

four.
Find and buy our first home in College Station.
Done!

five.
I can't write this out loud in case certain people read it but it's a good one that I pray for everyday!
Another fail.

six.
Stop cussing.
muy importante
This will be carried over to 2011...

seven.
Write a book.
yes, I have one started but I am stuck which leads me to believe I am just not into the story. So, I would like to start fresh with my new year and write a book.
I didn't write a book but I did have an article published in a local magazine and a paper accepted into the academy of HRD - That's better than nothing!

eight.
Continue to soak in as much knowledge in Grad School as possible.
All A's and B's.
Like Einstein said, "Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death”
Done! All A's from Spring, Summer, and Fall - Stepping into my last semester this month and planning of finishing Grad School with a BANG!

nine.
Run 500 miles this year.
I almost got there for 2009 and that was with me not running very much so I am hoping I can break it this year.
605.2 miles

ten.
And to remember:
"Above all, love each other deeply, for love covers a multitude of sins"
I Peter 4:8
Life finds ways to remind me of this daily. I am thankful for that!

Bring on 2011 and my new goals!
