You guys sick of seeing pictures of the house yet??

Sorry, can't help it, I want to share!!

Bret and I are not done getting the house to where we want it to be but we are pretty close.

Painting is done.

Carpet is installed.

Blinds have been added.

The house, if I say so myself, is coming along nicely!!

So, to update you with our progress, here are some pictures from when the previous owners were living there, what it looked like at closing, and what the rooms look like as of now.

Living Room

For our final walk through we were met with star curtain rods, curtains and a blow up mattress in the living room where the sellers were staying for the night:

Though it is hard to tell from here, we touched up all the trim with stark white as well as the ceiling (which was off white and dirty looking).  Added the 2" blinds and removed the stars!

Fireplace

Again, here you can see what the fireplace/other half of the living room looked like at the time when we first saw the house.  More stars and country decor

We are lucky that not much had to be done here.

Again, touched up the trim, filled in holes, painted the ceiling and removed stars!

Garage

My word these people had a messy MESSY garage!

This is showing just one wall that we have worked on but our other peg board is just as organized. 

All their junk has been removed and Bret and I are in the process of finding the perfect work bench to add to the little corner.

Kitchen

For me, I didn't mind the kitchen all that much but there was just a LOT of green.

At closing we were without a fridge and they left us a microwave sitting on the counter

(although the description said it was installed. liars)

So, to make the kitchen better, we painted it yellow (which I am in LOVE with) and bought and installed a new microwave above the stove.

Office

The office was just gross.

at the time of closing we thought maybe it would look better without the 4 desks and pictures of animal parts on the walls... we were wrong.  Instead, without the furniture, all the spots where the previous owners 2 dogs and 1 cat destroyed the place was visible!

Yuck!

So, after much cleaning, painting, new blinds, and new carpet...

ta-dah!

Guest Room 1

I don't know where to start with this... ugly is really all I can say.

and this is a girls room people.

Bret and I were initially going to keep the carpet in the 2 guest rooms and the master and just replace the office floor.  Well, once we saw the condition of the carpet at closing we changed our minds.

oh yes, plus the color. 

Gross!

So again, after new paint, new blinds, and new carpet, you get this!

Guest Room 2

Same sad story... different room.

and again - this is a girls room.  I don't get it.

Can you guys tell the difference in the trim and the ceiling.  They had all their trim painted white but their ceilings were an off white color.  Doesn't make much sense!

Anyways, again, we put in new blinds, painted the room and ceiling, and put in new carpet.

The after picture for this room is the same as Guest Room 1 - Exact size and everything, just a mirror image.

Master Bedroom

There wasn't too much that needed to be done with the Master

It ended up with a fresh coat of paint, new blinds, and new carpet :)

So what do you guys think?  Are yall liking it so far or think it is horrible??

We will be moving everything in this weekend so next time I post pictures there will be furniture!
