Bret and I survived our first major home project without killing each other! Yay!
Last night Bret and I went through all four rooms of the house taking out all the carpet and sweeping up the previous owners filth.
Can I just say EW.
For those of you who bought a previously lived in home and didn't have the carpets replaced, for the sake of your health, as soon as you get some money, DO IT!
To spare you the grossness of all rooms, I am showing just the master:
Master before with the old carpet.
Master after with no smelly carpet!
One of the FOUR piles of filth I swept up in the master bedroom alone.
ew.
Bye-bye carpet!
You will NOT be missed!
Yesterday afternoon, pre carpet demolition, I met a woman out at the house who measured our rooms for the new carpet that we have picked out!
Should be going in the second week in June!
Not the best picture in the world, iPhone quality and all, but this is the color we have picked out.
Spun Thread.
It's from a new brand of carpet called Tigressa.
Super soft and proceeds go to the Save the Tiger Foundation.
Rar.
So yes, carpet renovations underway!
You guys tired of hearing about my house yet?
If so, might want to skip over my blog for the next 6 months or so!!
A nice point in our evening last night was getting to go over to our NEIGHBORS house, the Cabezas', and eat yummy spaghetti that they made and invited us to share with them!
Jennifer, Robert, and Maddie are some of our closest friends in College Station and it is going to be so nice being able to live in the same neighborhood as them!
Home bonus!

Looking over celeb gossip this morning I came across a picture of Jared Leto...
Can somebody please tell me, how did Jared go from this:
TO THIS?!?!?!

Yeah, when we bought our house, we found MILDEW under the carpet! Replacing the carpet was the best purchase we made (for a house we lived in 2 years, but still...)
ah...I'm not looking forward to ripping out the bedroom carpets in our new house. But you are right. It needs to be done.
I love hearing about the house so don't change that!! I can't wait to buy my own and do the same exact thing...MAKE IT A HOME!!
xoxo
