let's get this party started!!

So, Bret and I have a house.  A HOUSE! I feel as though we have been waiting f.o.r.e.v.e.r. for our closing date to get here! Friday had to have been the longest day in the world.  I of course woke up at the crack of dawn because I was so anxious.  I wasn't suppose to be in the shower till 8:30am but since I was awake by 6:30am, I went to the gym to distract myself.  Didn't really work but oh well, I got a good workout in none-the-less.  By the time I was done it still wasn't time to shower soooo I made Bret and myself some cinnamon rolls.  Very tasty!  FINALLY I was able to get ready and we headed off to the title company to be there by 10:00am.  Closing only took an hour and we had such a sweet surprise waiting for us when we got there, the most beautiful flower bouquet from my brother and sister-in-love (Aaron & Claire)! Not going to lie, that made my day!  We were still waiting for the wire transfer to complete and be approved so by the time we were done closing we couldn't get the keys yet (talk about a bummer).  But, we were told it wouldn't be long so we decided to go and walk around Lowe's... still no keys.  How about lunch at Ninfa's?!... still no keys.  How about walking around Sears and picking up graduation gifts?!.... still.no.keys.  By 3:00pm I was so aggravated we just decided to go home and I fell asleep.  Finally at 4:00pm we were given the OK to go get the keys from the title company and the house was ours!!  turns out some people in the mix dropped the ball. wrong fax number, wrong zip code, wrong phone numbers, and junk mail.  SHEESH!

Oh well though! We have a house!!!  And now the party begins!  First thing? Replace the carpet in the 4 bedrooms and paint 3 of the 4 rooms plus the kitchen!! Second, move all of our stuff in! Lastly, relax, count our blessings, and make our house into a perfect first home for me and B!
