How are all of you guys doing? I wasn't able to comment on any blogs yesterday because my computer decided to not allow me. Not very friendly. It also decided to delete contacts from my email and run very slowly. Today it's going a little better. Knock on wood. But yes, how are yall? I feel like I have been talking all about me and my race and my house wants and yada, yada, yada that I am being self-ish and not asking about YOU guys. Lots of happy pregnant chicas out there! Lots of new jobs! Lots of vacations! All of yall are so busy it amazes me! I promise, I am keeping up - Even if I cannot respond. Ooo, I hope you guys have been able to notice that I have gotten better with replying to the comments yall leave me. At least I feel like I am... There I go talking about me again when this is suppose to be about YOU GUYS! Well, I adore you all and thanks for all the questions and support about the house :)
Ok, now me time. It is my blog after all! Soooo, Bret and I met with the House Inspector, Pest Inspector and AC Inspector all at 8:00am (we brought them Shipley's!) to get the house looked over. Good news, no major problems! There is a roof vent that needs to be replaced but other than that, roof is good. The AC Unit looks good as well! Two major systems, check, check. Plumbing is good. No "wood eating insects," just fire ants which is a given for Texas. So there are only a few little things we are asking them to fix so yippee! No deal breakers just yet. We just signed the amendment that is heading to the sellers and if they agree we will close on May 21st!
When we went there today I took my camera (of course) because A) I wanted to take pictures of the house but B) I wanted to take a picture of this woman's bridal portraits because to me... EIK! I have chopped her head off but please, I need opinions:
Is this a Texas thing? Oh. My. Gosh. I just cannot get my head around this... It's just not my style, I understand that but really? You are on a horse? In your wedding dress? Ew. Are you a runaway bride? I would show you the wedding invitation (that was framed on the wall) but it had names and what not on it but let me tell you. Blue. Silver Diamonds. Not attractive. And you know, it would be ok if this was in 1980... But my friends. This was a 2007 wedding. AH! Ok, I am done with being mean.
Look how cute this is!
This is where the driveway meets the road and I guess when the concrete was poured somebody wrote "Hi" in it with a stick! I know that would probably bother a LOT of people but come on... I think it is stinkin' cute! This house will forever welcome every person that comes to visit! I just love that!
::sigh:: Oh me, oh my...
Last but not least. So, you guys know I wake up at the crack of dawn every morning and go work out, yes? If you didn't you know now. Well this morning while pumping my legs on the elliptical and listening to Shutter Island on my iPod I look over and out the window and I decided to take a picture. Can you tell why?
Can you see? Can you see?! I sent it to my daddy since we always use to play I-Spy and what not. Love it! I am not giving it away until you guys see something....
Alrighty - Happy Friday!! Have a great weekend my loves!
xx

You had me laughing so so hard!
I see the moon!!! right?!
And those pictures. OH MY! First, that you would take your camera to take pictures of them made my day! And then, just the whole thing seemed odd to me! It's like in 27 dresses when she's in the cowboy wedding haha
That picture with the horse makes me think that it should be on the front of a steamy grocery store romance novel!
Yeah for your soon to be house. It looks perfect all the way down from the moon to the hi!
i had to enlarge the pic...but the moon right!?
I agree....the pic with the horse, a little weird but to each their own I guess! :)
funny funny.
Ok, so admittedly, my grandfather bred and raised horses for forever. My aunt totally rode down the aisle on a horse at her 2005 wedding, because it was the only way my grandfather would walk her down the aisle. He isn't a crowd person. I wore cowboy boots underneath my wedding dress in 08 so I probably don't have room to talk either. But I didn't take pics on any horses either.
great news about the house. and I like the "Hi" on the driveway too.
Those pics are pretty funny!
I spy the moon in the last little window. Am I right?
No idea what I'm looking for in the window.
Those horse pictures are killing me! I definitely think there could have been a way that she could have used it to appear more modern instead of "old debutante" but those pictures are just too funny!
haha I am cracking up right now! Those wedding horse pictures are too much! What in the world?!?! Congrats on the house, sounds like it was all good news! oh and ps: I spy the moon!
I SPY --- it's like the cell with the horrible lighting, vent to escape through, and bad white walls.
Now you tell me!!!
