Here is what Mr. Mathis had to say in response to the questions you guys asked him:

Do you read this blog?

Occasionally, but probably not quite as often as Katie would like.

What is your favorite thing about your wife?

I would have to say my favorite thing about Katie is her huge heart. She really has a lot of love to hand out.

What do you think about the blog/blog friends?

You have no idea how many stories Katie has told me that have started with, "In the blogging world..." And they are usually quite entertaining. You guys are pretty interesting.

Did you ask the wifey's father for her hand in marriage before you proposed?

Of course. And I might have been a little nervous... It didn't help that I had to corner him in the kitchen while everyone else was out at the pool.

Do you fart in front of her?

Not if I can help it.

six.

What is your favorite "date night" with your gorgeous wife?

Anything really. We always seem to have a lot going on so any time when it's just us doing whatever we feel like it is always a good time.

If you had all the money in the world, what would be the first thing you bought Katie?

I would say a house but with all of the paperwork I'd probably be able to buy her something in the meantime so I think I would just take her shopping.

What was the biggest surprise about being married?

I don't believe there's really been anything that surprised me too much.

How long did it take you to plan how you were going to propose to Katie, and how did you know she was the one?

It didn't take me long to figure out she's the one. If you've met her then it is obvious, at least it was to me. And it wasn't too hard to figure out how I was going to propose to her either. I knew I wanted it to be something special for us and I also knew she would want it low-key so proposing on our park bench was an easy conclusion.

What is your favorite food?

Definitely Italian

What is your dream job?

If I knew what my dream job was I would be pursuing it as we speak. Unfortunately I don't know the answer to this question so I'm kind of just going with the flow. It's done me well so far in life...

What is your favorite book?

I wouldn't say that I have a favorite so I'll just name the one I'm reading now - Blue Gold.
