Thankful Thursday

Thursday, Yippee!
Today I am thankful for several things, which is always fun!

one
I am thankful for friends.
This week Bret has been in Kansas City so it's been just me and I really got to see just how important all my friends are to me.
Scott: An old friend of mine that I have known for eight years but haven't spoken to in a while due to a falling out found me Monday on Facebook.  After him and I talked some, worked out all the kinks, it is like no time has passed at all! I still feel like we are the best friends we were back when we were in high school.  Such a blessing!
Jennifer: A former co-worker of mine whose friendship I have truely come to value.  I went and ran with her earlier this week, something we are trying to do together weekly, and it was so nice getting to talk and spend time with her.  She is so funny and honest and I feel that I could tell her anything.  Such a great friendship that I look forward to making it stronger and stronger.  If either of us ever have to leave College Station I will be so sad to lose the face-to-face time with her but I know we will still see each other - PLUS, I would go crazy without seeing baby Mads!
Jonna:  One of my newest friends that I am getting to know more and more each day.  She keeps me entertained at work, she is a good shopping buddy and she is coming over tonight to bake Halloween Cookies and eat Chili with me. Woo hoo!  I am really enjoying our growing friendship and getting our husbands to know one another as well.  I hope she stays in College Station long enough so we can build a real bond that distance can't break!

two
I am thankful for family.
I forgot to mention this last week I believe... Last Mondy was my parents 30th Wedding Anniversary (WOW) and they were on a cruise! They got back to Orlando last Thursday morning and I was extremely thankful they made it home to Texas safely.
I am heading to Springtown tomorrow to meet up with B who is flying into DFW and to spend the weekend with our family there.  I am very thankful that we will get to spend Halloween with them celebrating Brock and Summer's birthdays and that I get to see Mallory, my other sister-in-love.  Her and I have become some close lately and it's so fun to have a younger sister!
I am thankful that Bret and I now have a new baby cousin, Braxton May.  Braxton joined us yesterday and he and his mom, Chrissy, are both doing wonderful.  I don't know if we will get to meet him this weekend or not but I do know he is super handsome!

three
I am thankful for organization.
I have been trying to get a lot of school work done these past few weeks so I am prepared and on top of my game since I will be out of touch for a week when we are in Jamaica.  I set a plan and I am now finished with all but one of my "must complete" assignments! I still have a week and 2 days to finish up that one assignment so I know I am good to go and will be able to relax in Jamaica without worrying about school. Yay!

four
I am thankful for Halloween.
I love holidays.  I have my favorites of course but in general, I love holidays!  Halloween is the beginning of all the best holidays.  Soon Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here and those are all such fun times!  For Halloween this year I have decorated my house, carved a pumpkin. went to a Halloween party as my true hippie self, bought a ton (and eaten a ton) of candy, decorated our HR area and I still have more Halloween fun to come! Brock's costume party, trick-or-treating, Halloween cookie baking... Oy!

five
I am thankful for the simple things in life.
this lovely diet coke I am drinking to kick start my energy since I woke up at 5am to work out.
my black nail polish still looks good on my fingernails.
I am not freezing at the moment.  Ask me again later and it will be a different story
the 3D Christmas Carol movie is coming out soon.  It's going to be amazing.
my iphone
my loving and wonderful husband who is super sweet to call while he is away
the Halloween Sandwich cookies me and Jonna (and hopefully Jennifer) are going to make tonight
getting the car packed up little by little this week so I don't have a million things to load in tomorrow morning before I head to Springtown
my mother-in-love is taking fall pictures of me and Bret on Saturday - can't wait!
spoke too soon.  I'm cold.
tomorrow is Friday.
