The Run Down:
- Today is my parent's 30th wedding anniversary! Yay! They boarded a cruise ship yesterday in Florida and are heading to the Bahamas - I am sure they are going to have a blast!
- I ran 6.17 miles yesterday morning outside (longest outside run yet) and it was wonderful. We are having the most perfect weather right now in Central Texas and I just did not think I was going to be able to stop running! I even saw a family of deer. They came right up to my running trail and were close enough that I could touch them. It was just one of those "God is Awesome" moments.
- I am busy, busy, busy getting school assignments done that way when I come back from Jamaica I am not behind or having to rush to get things turned in that same week - It's crazy to think by the end of November I will be done with my 2nd semester of grad school. Love it.
- I got my scarf in the mail and I am just now getting a chance to post a picture and talk about it. I love it, it's soft, it matches my College colors (Maroon) and it keeps my neck perfectly warm. Thanks!
- This past Friday some girlfriends and I went out to celebrate Traci getting married this coming weekend!! WOO HOO! We had a great time and I loved being able to share that with her. Friends are so amazing. Especially my friends!
- Saturday and Sunday were spent like all my Saturday's and Sunday's lately - Football, working out, grocery shopping and school work. It was perfect really. I love getting to do nothing with Bret.
- Diane gave me her recipe to her chili this past week so I made that for dinner last night - Can we say yum?? Here it is if you would like to experience the yumminess of it for you and your family:
Diane's Chili
2 lbs of ground beef
1 medium onion
1 can of tomato soup 1 can of water
1 T. cumin
1 T. chili powder
1 pkg. chili mix
1/2 t. sugar
salt and pepper to taste
Brown the ground beef and onion. Drain. Add remaining ingredients together in a pot. Once the meat is browned, add together with the sauce and simmer on low for about an hour
Thursday Bret and I will be heading to our friends Jennifer and Robert (and Maddie of course) to go to pictures and pick out pumpkins at pumpkin patch then carve them while watching Hocus Pocus! So excited! Halloween here we come!
This weekend is Traci's wedding, which I cannot wait for, and bonus, a Halloween party! I can just imagine the overload my camera is about to get!
Next week Bret will be in Kansas City on business so I will be finding ways to keep myself entertained - Any suggestions?
For Halloween we will be in Springtown celebrating our nephew's 4th birthday party! Yay! PLUS my sister-in-love's birthday AND Bret and I will be taking fun Fall pictures thanks to Mommy2!
Does anyone know of any jobs around the DFW area? I am starting to get that "I am ready to move" itch and that is where we would like to end up. If you do, let me know!!
Fun Pictures of my life at the moment:
And yes, that IS my new scarf!

I will try to be better behaved this week!
