We made it! It's FRIDAY!

First - 8 years? Really? Wow, I cannot believe it has been 8 years since 9/11. I know people always say they remember where they were so I thought I would share. When the first plane hit the first tower, I was a Junior at Longview High School, sitting in Mr. Bruski's Geography class. Couldn't stand that class, couldn't stand that man. Whatever. Then, another teacher came running in screaming about what was going on so Mr. Bruski turned on the TV. My class and I sat there and watched the 2nd plane fly into the 2nd tower. I remember thinking it was a prank and there was no way that happened. Obviously, and regrettably, I was wrong. It was so strange though. The rest of the day teachers refused to turn on the TV's, refused to talk about what was going on and that really bothered me. Here our country was, under attack, and we were being left out of the loop. Like really? School was not that important on that day - I don't know if they were trying to "protect" us but what they did was A) scare us more and B) made us miss out on a huge part of our history. But, needless to say, I do remember where I was, I saw the 2nd plane hit and I was very, very sad.


Okay - I did my 9/11 spill and now I would like to change the mood of this post because sad posts make me well, sad. I haven't posted any texts from last night in a long time and I feel like laughing. Who's with me!? For those of you who are new to my blog and have no idea what I am talking about, there is a website (www.textsfromlastnight.com) where people submit text messages they have sent and received. • (920): I'm drunk. And at a vegan cafe. You would hate it. Don't tell my hipster friend but I kinda hate it too.
• (716): i bet even starving children in Africa take the crust off their poptarts
• (512): he just found out his girl is having a boy. he's probably googling "Ed Hardy diapers" as we speak.
• (567): we sang "a whole new world" together. either he's my gay best friend or the love of my life.
• (620): My recently uploaded pictures to facebook: Me partying on Beale St. with a single girl on each arm. Ex's recently upload pictures: Several pictures of cats. I win.
• (480): You were running around the house covered in syrup, with shredded down pillow feathers on your body screaming "AFLACK!" at everyone
• (412): I typed "housewife" into monster.com's search engine....I got zero results...kinda bummed
