hello Fall - oh how I've missed your colors.

It's here!
Well, at 4:18pm it will be here but still, Fall, Autumn, Cool Weather, Halloween... It's all here! YIPPEE! love it.

I planned on blogging yesterday but you know, I really just did not feel like it. I get in these random funks where I don't really care to talk. I read blogs yesterday, didn't really comment much on anyone (sorry) but I was at least keeping up with you guys. Lots of fun weekends out there! Our weekend in good ole College Station wasn't too shabby either. Here are the highlights:

Friday
work (joy)
Jennifer and Maddie come to visit
Go to Chilis for dinner so Jennifer can have her first, post baby alcoholic beverage
B and I go and walk around Best Buy and Barnes & Nobles
Get the new Dan Brown book
watch "The Office" when we get home (love)
went to bed like old fuddy duddies

Jennifer and myself celebrating alcohol like we are 21 again!

Saturday
woke up way early, 7:00am!
Ran 4.39 miles outside - 1/2 marathon here I come!
Laid around the house being lazy and working on school work
went to Koppee Bridge for lunch with B - love yummy hamburgers
tailgated for the game for many, many, MANY hours
went to Rosa's for yummy, fast Mexican dinner
headed to a ring dunk
got home and completely crashed. 100% crashed
Me and Kristen beginning the day at tailgate!

Me and that lovely husband of mine!

There were a lot more crazy and silly pictures taken during flip-cup races and beer pong but I haven't seen them yet. Once I do, and if they are appropriate, I will share. Should be interesting.

Sunday
woke up way too early, good ole 7:30
Went to the grocery store for some much needed grub
watched Duplicity with Clive Owen and Julia Roberts
football, football, school work, football
ran a few miles
football
sleep

Now
<//span></ span=""><//></ span=""><//></><//></ span=""><//></><//></><//></><//></ span=""><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></ span=""><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//></><//>for some actual stories - As I mentioned, Chilis was on the menu for Friday night dinner. It was me, Bret, Jennifer, Robert and baby Maddie. Dinner was fantastic, drinks were yummy and as the meal was winding down turns out Mads had used the bathroom. Not only had she used the bathroom, she had exploded! ew. EW. So, I went with Jennifer to the bathroom at Chilis to help out with the process - Let me tell you, I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life! Maddie of course had to be completely stripped down so she was probably freezing. The way the changing table was set up people had to skootch around us to even get to their stalls. Well, everytime the toilet would flush it would scare poor Mads to death and she would start wailing. I am not talking about simple little cry, I mean full, fledge WAIL. I, in the meantime, am handing Jenny wipe after wipe after wipe after wipe. This to me is hilarious so I am already starting to giggle. I am trying to get Mads to cheer up so I start ducking under the changing table and popping up to play peek-a-boo. Hilarious. Maddie would start cracking up laughing. Histerically laughing. Then, right when I would get her laughing, the toilet would flush which would freak her out all over again. So Jennifer and I are standing there watching Maddie trying to decide if she wants to cry or laugh resulting in a hilarious facial expression and even better sound! By this point, we are cracking up laughing. It probably doesn't help that we had had Pina Coladas already, lol. I know people were walking in and out of that bathroom thinking we were these crazy people who had no business holding this poor baby girl. But honestly. Hilarious. Maddie will be 6 months old soon so it's not like she was a newborn. We had it under control. This might be a situation where you "had to be there" but I am telling you. Priceless. And if you know anything about me then you know I am still not 100% comfortable with children just yet so this made it even better - Funny. I am laughing all over again just thinking about the situation. Oh my.

I think that might be my only story that I can remember at the moment. I did learn that I cannot tailgate like I use to but thank goodness, I did not get sick so that is an improvement for sure. It use to be that no matter how much I drank, even like 2 or 3 beers, you better believe I would be throwing up later. Truly sad. But nope, I was good! I know you all cared to know that...

Do you guys ever wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep? I am having some serious issues with this lately. I drink a million glasses of water a day so obviously I have to pee every night at some point. Well, I get back in bed and it's like once I have gotten up once, my mind believes it is time to be up for good and I cannot get it to stop racing. Last night for example, I was up for about 45 minutes before I could fall back asleep. I was thinking about all the fun and witty things I could say on my blog today and you know what? I have forgotten them all. So this is what you are stuck with my BBs. Just deal. I have mastered waking up and going to the bathroom without turning on a light or even opening my eyes thinking that will help me fall right back to sleep... no, not so much. Don't get it. Anybody else? Just me? Lovely.

So this weekend my super sweet hubs is heading to New Orleans to throw a bachelor party for his old roomie, Steven. Side note: Steven was the best man at our wedding and now B is the best man at his - aww But the boys will be heading on Thursday night and coming back Sunday evening - LONG weekend in New Orleans. Neither Bret or myself have ever been there so I am asking you guys, are there any places that boys should definitely check out while they are there? Yes, I know they will be gambling. Yes, I know they will got to strip clubs. Yes, I know they will be super intoxicated. and Yes, I trust my husband and love him to death and hope he has a wonderfully fun time that I never have to hear about. Ever. Now, that being said, any other things or places you guys know of that they should see?
Look at those handsome men - Who wouldn't want to party with them in New Orleans?!

I don't know if I have told you guys this or not but in November Bret and I will be going to Jamaica with Steven (bachelor dude) and Magan (his soon to be wife) on a group honeymoon! We are getting super excited! I love the beach. Any beach. It can be nasty Galveston water and I will still have a good time. We have never been to Jamaica so we cannot wait! Steven and Magan were both in Mexico with us when we got married and we had a blast with them - I can only imagine this will be equally as fun. Especially since I won't have the stress of my own wedding hanging around me! :)
The Happy Couple in Mexico!
Well, for not really caring to talk yesterday I would say I have made up for it today. Yes? Maybe? I got my assigned person for the scarf swap that my BB Katie is doing so I am about to run over to my girls site and check her out! Her name is Kelli and I know I am just going to completely adore her. YEAH! Scarf Swap = super fun!
Hope you guys have a great Tuesday and a fantastic week! Friday here we come!

Tell Bret to take in Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter. Open 24 hours a day since 1862 serving delicious beignets in an open air setting overlooking the river. http://www.cafedumonde.com/locations.html
Also, the National D-Day Museum is in New Orleans and I hear it's fantastic, especilly for history buffs.
