i give thanks

yeah! It's my 2nd week now to do "Thankful Thursdays" and I am completely excited! I still think this is such an amazing thing to do. Even if you do not choose to blog about what you are thankful for, please at least take the time to think about how great your life truly is. It's fun!

B made it safely to Reno last night - I get nervous when he flies and I am glad God brought him back to Earth and back to me.

I get to live another day, my last day, as being a 23 year old. I will never be in this moment again and I plan to enjoy today to the fullest!

I am in love with the birthday cards and gifts I got in the mail last night. A Target gift card from Maw (YIPPEE) and from my parents a beautiful Peter Pan book copy write 1902. LOVE!

I am blessed to work for a fantastic boss who brings her sweet daughter up to do this to my office at night - Sneaky, Sneaky.

I leave for Vegas in the morning

I have worked it out to where my parents will come and spend a weekend with me in September while Bret is off hosting a bachelor party - A whole weekend alone with my folks!

I am thankful that I was given the strength to run 4 miles last night - I am getting better!

My new blog design is complete and ready to be added to my site - As soon as possible the Mathis site will have a fantastic face lift. Sweet!

I am thankful for the sunshine

I am thankful, as always, for love in my life

peace.

I bought two books last night for my trip that I cannot wait to start reading. Well, I cheated last night and read two pages of each book just to get my nose in them. I couldn't resist, so shoot me. Anyways, my books are Mr. Darcy, Vampyre written by Amanda Grange and then, to get ready for the movie that is coming out, I bought Julie & Julia. I am sure you all know what Julie & Julia is about but here is a little bit about Mr. Darcy, Vampyre from the author:

There are many horror and fantasy influences on Mr Darcy, Vampyre, but it's about Lizzy and Darcy and so at it's heart it's a love story. It picks up where Jane Austen left off, with Lizzy and Darcy getting married, on a rapturously romantic wedding day. The trials and difficulties of Pride and Prejudice are over, but new ones are just beginning, and this in the end is why I chose to write a paranormal sequel to Pride and Prejudice, because a sequel, like the original, needs problems. Most sequels make those problems the real life problems of a move to Pemberley, but I wanted something bigger. I knew that Darcy and Lizzy were deeply in love and so I wanted something that could really challenge this, something that could put the outcome in real doubt, just as it is in real doubt in the original. And so I made Mr Darcy a vampyre. Even Lizzy and Darcy's love would be challenged by something like that! Their love for each other is at the heart of the novel, and the test of that love will take them to hell and back.

I adore Pride and Prejudice so I am super excited to read this interesting twist Amanda has put on the love story. Fun, Fun!

Happy Thursday everyone - Be thankful today and have a great Friday and weekend!

**I was given this cake after lunch from a dear co-worker, Traci, so I thought I would share it with you guys as well. Such great co-workers I have who take care of me!**

Is that Kim's old office? My SIL gave me Pride & Prejudice & Zombies for my birthday. Same idea, but zombies were added to the original story.

Have a great time in Vegas!!! Happy Birthday!!!
