they call me quite, but i'm a riot.

I have been singing "that's not my name" for about three weeks now I believe. I even looked up and printed out the lyrics so I could have them in my car. This way I know what I am attempting to sing. love it.

Bret and I, yet again, had a jammed pack weekend! It was really nice though because although we were super busy, it seemed to go by a slow pace. This weekend actually felt longer to me then my extended Memorial Day weekend. Odd how things work out.
Friday after work Bret and I met several of our friends at the Tap for happy hour which was soon followed by dancing at North Gate. I had not been out dancing in a while, or so I think, so it was super fun getting out there with all our girl and guy friends and cutting a rug. Some of the friends we were with wanted to two-step, which I am really horrible at so that was an adventure for me. Seeing as I was in flip flops they had to be taken off so I was dancing around barefoot resulting in a very bloody big toe. ew. ouch. It was a great night though - Bret and I are blessed with such fun and silly friends!

Starting the night off with Sake Bombs - Always fun:

Saturday bright and early Bret got up to head out to a golf tournament for our company. It was the longest tournament ever! They started at about 10:00 and he didn't get home till after 5:00pm. My day was full of complete laziness. I went to lunch with some girl friends at McAlister's (yum) then spent the entire afternoon laying out by the pool! It was perfect weather and a perfect afternoon!

That night we all headed out to Starlight Music Series which is an outdoor concert series our town puts on every summer. It was very mellow and relaxing evening to add to our already relaxing day.

Sunday Bret and I got up and went for a run together then hung out by the pool to cool off for a while. It was nice to get to sit down and spend some one-on-one time together since our Friday and Saturday both were spent with lots of friends (no complaints!) My brother, Brad, and his girlfriend, Christie passed through town on their way home from Austin to spent some quality time together. We all went to lunch at Boston's, ran a few errands together then they hit the road. Bret and I haven't seen them since Christmas so it was nice to be able to sit down and have good food and good conversation together.

This picture is going to need a serious crop job - we look like we are posing for cheesy engagement pics with Bret grabbing my wrist like that!

After Brad and Christie headed out of town Bret and I pretty much crashed. I worked on my first two school assignments for a few hours (I am officially in school! yeah!) and then played Wii Fit for about 45 minutes which was fun. After that we subjected ourselves to the guilty pleasure of watching the MTV Movie Awards. I must say, after watching that, no wonder my parents blocked MTV on our TV when I was younger. My word! Very inappropriate things were being said. The host was hilarious though so it was all in good fun.
Today started out with my usual workout, shower, breakfast and now work - Time to start another week! This will be a week full of birthday celebrations. My father-in-law's birthday is tomorrow, we are celebrating my friend, Kayla's, birthday Wednesday night by going to hear Randy Rogers play and then this weekend is my sister-in-law's 21st birthday so we will be in Springtown celebrating that with her. HAPPY 21 Mallory! WOO HOO!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and yall's Monday is starting out wonderfully perfect!
