Wrapping Up the Weekend

Oh me, oh my. Quick, quick weekends!

friday started out like every other day - Woke up, completed Shred # something, got ready for work, worked, went and had Mexican food for lunch (so much for that a.m. workout), worked some more, Jennifer and Maddie came to visit me at work (yeah for baby time!) and then it was 5:00! Bret and I went with our friend Kelly up to The Tap after work for happy hour and we were joined by some other friends later in the night so that was a lot of fun. A good end to the week. We got home about 11:00pm, for some reason I warmed up a Lean Cuisine and we watched the season finale of The Office before going to bed.

The Tap
saturday we slept in to a whooping 8:00am. Thanks Husband. Got up, ate some cinnamon toast and I watched five episodes of Grey's Season 1 while Bret watched I don't know in the living room, lol. We decided to hit Freebirds for lunch, it started pouring, then we went to see Angels & Demons for an afternoon pick-me-up or slow-me-down. whichever. It was a very great movie. Read the book first though (that is always my advice). After that Blockbuster was calling our name, thanks to the still falling rain, and then we headed home to play some Wii Fit. I believe we skipped dinner that night if I recall correctly and we spent the evening watching Frost/Nixon. Very good.

sunday I was the one to wake us up early because I couldn't sleep. I decided to get up and hit the gym for a run/bike session and then played around on the computer for a bit. While playing around I discovered Steph had given me my first blogging award! I was pretty pumped!

In the tradition of the award, the rules are as follows:

1) Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.2) Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award

Since I do not follow 15 blogs because I am still new to the blogging world, I am going to choose 5 blogs to give the Our Lovely Blog award to - These are in random order, scouts honor. If I do not get around to letting you know, sorry :/

  1. Lauren @ All Around Our House
  2. Mrs.D @ Diary of Mrs. D
  3. Truly @ Yours Truly
  4. Lindsey @ Learning to be a Wife
  5. d.a.r. @ Just Another Day in Paradise
All five of these blogs inspire me in some form or fashion and I look forward to seeing what they have to say and to see how they experience and share things - Thanks girls for being great and wonderful people!
Back to my weekend. After piddling on-line I watched Central Baptist's sermon on t.v. and then Bret and I met Jennifer, Robert and baby Maddie for lunch at Chili's then Bret and I ran errands to get some milk, swing by the bank and most importantly, to go to Barnes & Nobles to buy me the first Sookie Stackhouse book! That's right, I am jumping on another band wagon and I am stoked. I went home, started reading and I could not put the book down to save my life! I am already half way through and I am hooked. To add to this excitement, while Bret was flipping through On Demand last night we found that our HBO On Demand has all of Season 1 of True Blood showing right now so we got to watch the first episode and we are ready to get home and watch more. Darn it for having to go to work all the time. Darn it, darn it, darn it!

monday, today of course, I woke up, went and ran. Came to work. Got my 4 new hires ready to start their day. Went to the Dr. Ate lunch here because my wonderful husband brought me Subway (i love him). Now I am ready to get off work to go home and Shred, maybe lay out, read my book and watch True Blood! Wow. Did that all sound as pathetic as I think??
