the morning sky + IT'S FRIDAY!

I am so very much in love with the morning sky lately. I recently commented on this on my Beauty website but still, today, I am still finding myself amazed by the sunrise. I got up this morning to go workout as usual and to my disappointment and shock, somebody apparently let the apartment pool over flow last night so water was every where and I am guessing it got into the gym because the locks were not working. Bummer. But, instead of going back home I decided to go run out on the street. This is something I normally do not do in the morning because I am one of those paranoid girls who thinks every car that drives by is going to grab me. However, today it was light enough outside that I felt same. While running I got the joy and the pleasure to observe the sunrise this morning. Gorgeous. The sky was baby blue, not a cloud in sight and the blue was changing to orange and pink as the sun rose. At one point there was a plane moving across the sky just slowly enough to look like a bright, pink shooting star. It was beautiful. The moon was still high enough to be seen and it was just a small slither of God's thumbnail, bright and blue and full of wonder. My run this morning was thoroughly enjoyable not so much for the work out like normal, but because I got to spend my 15 mins with an entire masterpiece. Just. Plain. Beautiful.

Enough of my soup box this morning - Today is FRIDAY and I am hoping for a fast day! I am super excited because I got the June issue of Women's Health magazine in the mail last night so I plan on reading that today. If you do not currently read Women's Health, do it! I LOVE this magazine and get excited every time it comes in the mail. Their website is equally as amazing. While it might not be People, it is still entertaining and helpful! So that is plan A. for some point today. Read Women's Health. I have already completed This Week in Pictures on MSNBC so that's done and now I am writing my blog. There better be some good articles in my magazine today or my day might not go as quickly as I would like. eik.

Tonight Bret and I are going to run and grab some things to make lasagna for him and I and for also Aaron and Claire. We plan to take it to them on Sunday when we head to Austin to see Avery so they will have a meal they can just warm up during the week. When a new baby comes I know it's hard to find time to eat, let alone cook, so we thought we would be helpful :) And to clarify, this is Bret cooking his mother's lasagna and me eating. I don't cook. At least not fancy things - Well, unless you count eggs. I got Bride Wars in the mail last night so I am hoping to watch that at some point but I have a feeling Bret might not be into that soooo maybe we will finish season one of True Blood. Yeah!

Tomorrow we are heading to a friends house who is having a garage sale to say "hello!" and then we are off to Houston for the Astros vs. Rangers game! GO RANGERS! GO CHRIS DAVIS! I went to high school with Chris, the first base man, so I am excited to get to see him play in person. Bret's old roommate, Steven, and his fiance, Magan, might be joining us so it will be great to see them. They are getting married this coming November and then we are heading off with them for a group honeymoon! I cannot wait! We will be going to St. Lucia, St. Croix or maybe Jamaica I believe and I wish it was tomorrow because I am missing the beach!

Sunday we will be heading out bright and early to go see baby Avery! I am so excited to finally get to meet my new niece. You know I will be taking a ton of pictures so be prepared for some more. I have been bombarding you all with so many baby pictures this past week I would not be surprised if you guys are just passing right over my blog. Don't worry, it won't hurt my feelings :)

Monday is Memorial Day and Bret and I have the day off! That is one of the many pluses about working for the same company - we have the same holidays! We have no plans for our day off, that I know of, so I am hoping for some quality pool time and grilling some steaks! YUM!

I hope everybody has an excellent Friday - Congrats on making it through another week!

Running outside is so much more enjoyable and a lot less painful:p I love it! Glad you got to experience a good sunrise and run!
