shred 9 + baby time... and more!

yesterday was a good day - I don't believe I have mentioned this but on my board in my office I have written "I will be happy today" with a smiley face underneath and believe it or not, I really think it is helping me let things go during the day that would normally aggravate me. I will start to get irritated with something or someone and I will see that, repeat it, and then I am good to go. I am really liking being happy! Who doesn't?!

As far as work went yesterday, nothing major happened for the most part but we did have a fire drill in the afternoon. I was one who had to help so I was at a table making sure everybody signed in for audit purposes. This is how white I am - I got back in from the fire drill and my legs, arms and chest were sunburned! They are still a little pink today. We were out there for maybe 30 minutes. So pathetic. I told Bret that I got out of the building for a fire drill and still got burned! (bad joke) But no worries, some girlfriends of mine are coming over today after work for a quick run at the gym and then LAY OUT TIME by the pool!

After work yesterday I came home for a quick workout - Shred 9, still on level 3. I am starting to think I will never get to 30 days. I am sitting at 9 and I feel like I have been doing this forever! I know it is my own fault because I get bored with videos way to easily - The same thing over and over just doesn't work for me I suppose. But, I am still enjoying the work out. Level 3 is still a challenge so that is good. I am able to get through the entire workout without stopping at all but by the end I am exhausted! My legs today are tight, not sore, but tight so that makes me feel good as well. That plus my strict Calorie diet that I stay on, I don't think I am doing too shabby!

After I was done pretending to be Jillian Michaels (minus the boyishness) Bret and I went to grab Chick-fil-a for me, him, Jennifer and Robert and then headed over to their house to see them and baby Madelyn! I haven't seen Maddie since the day after she was born and I was surprised to see how much she has stretch out. She is without a doubt just a gorgeous, gorgeous baby. So precious. We had dinner, watched American Idol (got Matt, Adam and Kris!) and then Bret and I headed to the house. We were still tired from our late Monday night at the theater so we were ready for bed by the time we got home. It was great being able to see Jennifer, Robert and Maddie though - Jennifer amazes me. Her house was in tip top condition, not a thread of carpet out of line. I am scared to think what my house will look like when I have a three week old baby - eik!

So today is Earth Day everybody! Happy Earth Day! I am wearing a green shirt today to honor the occasion and as I mentioned earlier, I will be soaking up the sun this afternoon so I will get in embrace nature on this great and wonderful day! I hope everybody currently tries to do at least one good thing for the Earth. There is only one, we need to take care of her! My good thing at work is I use a plastic cup for my daily water that I drink instead of always getting styrofoam cups from our cafeteria. Yeah Earth!
