Mine and Bret's weekend started right after work. First we went to pick me up some wine - I had a stressful week and I decided I would like a glass of wine. We have several bottles of wine at home but I am in love with my cheap 4-packs of Sutter Home. While they are close to being on the same level as "box wine," I enjoy these because if Bret doesn't want a glass of wine I don't have to worry about opening an entire bottle, not finishing it and then it end up going bad. So this is my ode to 4-packs. Thank you for allowing me to have one glass and not being wasteful. Side Note: I do actually poor the bottle into a glass, I don't drink straight from the bottle.
Soon after we got my wine, Bret's friend, Kelly, said they were in downtown Bryan at this Irish Pub, Murphy's Law. Another one of their friends works there so we decided to go ahead and go down there. My wine was put on hold. I did get to drink Woodchuck Cider though for the first time so that was fun. It was very fruity and kind of went along with my "I want wine" mood. I asked for wine but I was told to try Woodchuck instead. I was really happy about it though because since it was on draft it had a really cute tap head! I had been wondering all night what the "Beaver Tap" was for and I got to find out!

After we left Murphy's at about 11:00pm Bret and I were starving! We hadn't eaten dinner since we went straight to Murphy's Law after work so A) we went to chick-fil-a... closed so B) We went to Freebirds! yummy Freebirds! It was kind of amusing, the Freebirds on University here (we have about 4 in town) got shut down this week for not having any hot water - Nasty - so when we went into this other Freebirds for dinner, all the people working there were wearing shirts that said "The Water's Good Here." I always find Freebirds amusing how they can poke fun at themselves :)
Saturday Bret and I got up to run some errands - The bank, post office and Walmart. At Walmart we bought the Twilight DVD! As I have previously mentioned, Bret and I listened/read all the Twilight books and really enjoyed them. We saw the movie in theaters when it first came out - of course it wasn't as good as the book *they never are* but good enough to where we wanted to watch the movie again. It was a little better to me this 2nd time around!
That afternoon we watched our men's basketball team lose to UCONN - Sad day for them... I don't know much about basketball, at all, but I know enough to know that it isn't good to lose!
That night Bret and I went over to Jennifer and Robert's house to visit and to eat some very yummy steaks Robert grilled. (I finally got to drink from my 4-pack!) It was fun seeing Jennifer and going over Maddie's room with her and all the baby stuff. It's crazy to think next time we are hanging out at their house Maddie will be there. Jennifer's due date is March 30th but they will be deciding today at their doctors appointment if they will be inducing her early than that. Robert said they are hoping for this Thursday - How exciting!!

Sunday Bret and I were pretty lazy for the most part. We watched The Hoax in the morning with Richard Gere. To clarify, Mr. Gere was in the movie, not watching it with us. It was really good. If you haven't seen it and you like movies that are a little different, I recommend watching this one.
After that, there was a Band of Brothers marathon on TV so we watched several episodes. It's funny to me how much more I enjoy movies/series I own when they are on TV. Bret has all the Band of Brothers episodes and instead of putting them in so we could bypass commercials, etc., we just sat there and watched them on TV and I enjoyed that much better. So odd. Or maybe I am just odd - the jury is still out I believe.
About 2:45pm Bret made him and I spaghetti (yum!) and then we met Jennifer and Robert out at the Bryan Driving Range for a little bit of outside time. It was a VERY windy afternoon but we had a fun time. I am not good at hitting golf balls by any means but I got some in the air so that was good enough for me. I am hoping to start lessons pretty soon. I didn't take them last year because of the wedding being around this time so this year is my chance!!
After the driving range I really wanted some ice cream and Bret was dying of thirst so we went to Sonic where Bret got a massive Route 44 Vanilla Dr. Pepper and I got a Butterfinger Sonic Blast - YUMMY! I haven't had Ice Cream in forever so I was super excited to get some. Totally fattening against my diet but oh well, I wanted that ice cream and I enjoyed that ice cream!
Sunday night Bret and I watched one of our newest shows, Kings. Last week was the premiere and we really liked it so this week we tuned in for round two and I believe we are now hooked. If you haven't heard of this show and you haven't started watching, it comes on Sunday nights at 7:00pm and I would suggest you looking into watching some episodes online. Very good.
After that I read for a bit and then we went to bed! Very detailed and elaborate description of a weekend where not too much went down! Tomorrow I have my interview with Expressions Dance Studio for a part-time instructor position, I hope they like me!
Funny Video of the Day: After St. Patrick's Day Bret came across this video, enjoy!
