The Band Wagon

It is official - I have jumped on the inevitable band wagon and right into the world of blogging. I say "blogging" with a little bit of resentment in my voice for the pure fact that I told myself I would never be one of those people. (Insert my parents voice with the ever present advise of "never say never") But, several things have now led me to this point. You may review the list if you prefer or just skip right on by:

A) Work is slow. There really is no better way to say that. So I repeat, work is slow and I need something to occupy my mind.

B) As much as I hate to admit this, I have found myself enjoying reading blogs about other people. People I know that is - There are some people ::cough cough Jennifer cough cough:: who read about people they do not know, but I do not plan to jump in that deep just yet. But, I feel that there maybe some people out there that would like to know what is going on in my life as well as Bret's. If not, that is OK too - My number one reason, as I have already established, is my sanity while bored at work.

C) Last but not least, this is for my family. Being away from my parents as well as my in-laws is not an easy thing. There is only so much that can be said in a weekend visit or a phone call and, from my experience, it is never enough time. So, this is for my family on both sides of the line. For when you are wondering what I really am up to or what Bret is running around doing - Here you go. Enjoy, and I apologize. I am nowhere near being a talented writer like my lovely grandmother, Maw, and my thoughtful father who both, always have the right words.

Here begins Katie's world of blogging - May it bring you laughter and never an ounce of boredom. Oh yes, and if the boredom does come, let me know! Last thing I want to do is go on my blogging adventure thinking people actually enjoy my rambling!
